Question: I currently take aspirin prevacid gabapentin amitrypilene hydrocodone and dilatin for periphial nerve disease. I've been having buring (like a bad sun burn) from the waist down and the needle and pin feeling too. Lately I've been disorinated and vision not all that good. Also uncontrollable twitching in hands and leges. Do you think the Dilantin is causing this...been taking it about a month 3 times a day.

Brief Answer:
Dilantin poisoning

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

From your description it sounds like you have having toxic levels of Dilantin. I would recommend that you see your medical provider and have Dilantin levels drawn. In the mean time I would recommend holding your Dilantin until you have been seen. Dilantin may take up to a month of regular dosing to go above the toxic levels.
I hope this answered your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care questions and concerns
