might be due to indigestion; also get ultrasound done

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com
This is Dr. Swarnava dattagupta answering your query.

I understand your concern.
From your history, it seems like a case of indigestion due to irregular bowel habits. However, considering the location of pain and your age, gall bladder problems and liver disorders must be ruled out also.
If a patient presents to me with such symptoms, I generally advise the following-
Diet modification- small frequent meals at regular intervals, avoiding fatty meals, taking lots of water orally and dietary fibers, avoiding alcohol and smoking.
Regular exercise in form of brisk walking. It enhances metabolism.
Medicines like pantoprazole-levosulpiride for a month, lactobacillus XXXXXXX for the same and also lactulose syrup in case of constipation.
Blood test for complete hemogram and liver function test, also stool culture.
Ultrasonography upper abdomen to rule out liver and gall bladder causes.

You can consult your treating or family doctor about the above and get the prescriptions done.
Get back to me with the reports.

Hope i have answered your question.
If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.
Regards

The pain that occurs last for about 3 or 4 hours and the only relief i can get is to get in a very hot bath and continue to pour water on the spot. Once it's gone i'm fine until i may get a lil constipated again and then the pain comes back. I will go see my family Dr. and let him know whats up. Thank you if you have any more info it would be greatly appreciated.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound abdomen is advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thank you for giving some detailed history. Such pain is not uncommon in people with constipation, but tge location is a bit uncommon and hence an ultrasound shouldbe helpful to rule out several possibilities. In the meantime you can continue with the previous advice and consult your doctor.
You can get back to me with the reports and for any further query.

Regards.
