Brief Answer:
This sounds like a simple spasm or strain .

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read you question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

This seems to be simple muscle strain or cramp.
You might have lifted some wieght when it happened or extended your knee somehow or may be had a walk or something which made the muscle sore.

I doesn't seem to be anything which should create an alarm , it seems very manageable.

I would hereby suggest you some ways which will let it heal better (it looks like healing already)

1) Take rest and use your knee only when really required.

2) Keep gentle stretching and flexion going.

3) Rub Voren gel on the area 8 hourly.

4) I would also suggest my similar patient to take muscle ralaxant like movax 4 mg twice a day to help muscles loosen up.

5) Warm compresses help much in auch cases they cause loosening up of the effected muscle.

6) You can use crepe bandage or knee band/support ..to give strength to your knee till it gets better.

This thing can be managed quite well and easily all you need is some care rest will be fine

I hope this answered your question. If you have more queries I am happy to answer.Otherwise rate and close the discussion
