Suggest Remedy For Pain And Tightness Under The Chest Bone

default
Posted on Fri, 21 Aug 2015
Question: Lately I have been having some pain/tightness under my right chest bone. Very top of my right abdomen. It's more of a nuisance than pain. I'm 31 and in great health. Perfect BP, Cholesterol, Blood sugar and TRIG. Additionally, recently had an EKG which was perfect. Can this be gallbladder related? I'm not having any other symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Following answer to your query.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

As long as the ecg you have done recently was normal than your symptoms most probably are related to:
- gallbladder / pancreatic issues.
- spastic colitis

However all the necessarily examinations should be done in order to find out what is causing your symptoms.

If you were my patient I would recommend to do :
- blood work including pancreas enzymes (lypase and amylase)
- cardiac echo and stress test to definitely exclude any cardiac problems
- abdominal ultrasound
- upper endoscopy

Meantime I would suggest to:
- avoid fatty foods
- eat fresh foods reach on vegetables and fruits poor on fatty animals products.
- drink plenty of water to avoid constipation.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
Dr. Klerida
