Suggest Remedy For Negative Thoughts During Pregnancy
Question: Hello doctor my wife is passing from the 7th month of pregnancy. Till now the gourney is full of ups and down. Suddenly since mirning she is little bit negative due to pain she feels in abdominal side. During last routine checkup doctor told that pain is due to motion of baby. I have few questions about the tests and the screeing of disorders. Recently we had incident in siciety about disorder. Wife has undergone all tests like double marker and routine blood tests. All are normal doctor didnt speak any negative word on it. Suddenly due to pain and some negative thought dur to people around she forced me to google on disorders so i thought this is the best place to have clarity on such negative thoughts. So in nutshell all this double marker and all tests what it represents? Like any abnormalities of mental and genital identified in tests? We have 2 detail sonogrpy in last sonography doctor showed all parts of baby like head hands and all. So one should be confident about physical normality? And double marker proves all is fine with hormones right ? I am attaching summary of reports . Doctor also suggest how to divert her from such negativity of bad dreams or negativity of people around to have confidence in doctor. Our doctor is famous and good too. Thanks for the anticipation.

The double marker test is used to look for three genetic disorders namely tiresome 21 ( down's syndrome), trisomy 18 ( XXXXXXX syndrome) and trisomy 13 ( crib-du chat syndrome), the most common genetic abnormalities seen in pregnant women who are in the age group more than 30.
The report shows a < 10000 incidence of the three and hence put your baby at low risk . Moreover the level 2 scan done at 22 weeks also ruled out any morphological anomalies in the baby, putting it safe to assume that the baby is healthy.
One thing which cannot be predicted are the METABOLIC DISORDERS, which can get manifested only after the birth of the child.
The pain as rightly said by the doctor can either be due to baby movements or due to something called XXXXXXX XXXXXXX CONTRACTIONS which are mild uterine contractions seen after 7 months pregnancy and they are infrequent , low intensity and physiologically normal. So there is apparently no need to worry as of now and she can be assured of the same.

Ok so that means sexual and mental disorder ia ruled out in the tests right. If anything is there doctor wud have told us in the sonography right? So all is well no need to worry. And doctor about sex during pregnancy is safe or not ?

Regarding sexual activity, it can be practiced after 24th week till 34 th week safely but gently with woman in the lying down comfortable position. Post 34th week chances of preterm labour following orgasm or even premature rupture of membranes have been seen to increase so not advisable post that.

Thanks doctor for the advice. All such things will work as a great relaxation for the would be patents. This social media and people around make things complicated.
