Posted on Mon, 7 Dec 2015
Question: I have a question I have been having itching in my crotch region for three weeks now. Also I have had pain in my testicle and perineum as of last thursday. Today I noticed white splotches on my penis head and a red spot on the underside of my penis. I was wondering what the spots and red mark could be. Jock itch? Herpes?

Brief Answer:
maintain good hygiene, avoid scratching, use antibacterial & antifungal powder, doesn't look like herpes

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query and the pictures.
In the picture I am able to appreciate slight redness and not the white spots that you have mentioned.
Redness might be due to irritation that has occurred as a result of itching. From the pictures it does not look like herpes. It has appeared as result of itching.

I advice you to maintain good hygiene,
Keep the area dry -- 1. Use loose cotton undergarment 2. Keep the area aerated 3. Use antibacterial and antifungal powder, available as over the counter powder, which will help keeping area dry.
Avoid scratching.
Use sufficient lubricants during intercourse.
You should be fine with this measures.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
