Brief Answer:
This is prominent metopic suture

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I have gone through the picture.
The midline ridge in the forehead is due to prominent metopic suture(joining between two skull bones).
I wont get worried if the development is normal and there is no other associated symptoms.
If CT scan is normal it rules out any structural disorder in the brain causing abnormal movement.Knocking of forehead may be a habit disorder.

If knocking is persistent and troublesome get him evaluated by a pediatrician/child psychiatrist to rule out any habit disorder.

Please do ask if you have any more query.
Regards
