Brief Answer:
Investigations and further management.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/68 - took antibiotics for 2 weeks for diverticulitis - still lots of gas, sharp pain in lower left - took colace and ate oatmeal this morning - watery or thin stools, numerous times, lot of pain/cramps, feels like hemorrhoids - colonoscopy several months ago- normal but hemorrhoids - pain comes and goes ....
My thoughts:
With the history you have given, this looks more of the problem of diverticulitis or colitis still going on.
Hemorrhoids can not cause the problems are having.

I would advise the following in such a case:
CT scan to review the status of diverticulitis or colitis and to see for or rule out any other problem.
Colonoscopy,
Tests of blood, stool and urine; the stool test may be helping in diagnosis.
Take probiotics and multivitamins.
You may need another course of antibiotic if the investigations are suggestive of infection still lingering on.
Examination by the General Surgeon and proctoscopy/colonoscopy can alone tell whether you have hemorrhoids or not.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
