Brief Answer:
cancer is last thing to think of

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

There are much more common causes which are benign such as prostate hypeplasia, hyperactive bladder or urine infection.

So cancer is not first thing to think of. However, it should always be ruled out and exact diagnosis should be established.

He should do prostate ultrasound and PSA marker and basic urine analysis. This will show us what is going on. Such frequent urination should be evaluated definitely, but as I said most causes are curable and you don't need to worry that much.

Wish you good health.
Regards
