Brief Answer:
This can be caused by vitreous degeneration.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
The common causes for shimmering spot in this age group are flashes of light. These can occur because of vitreous degenerations which occur because of ageing.
These are usually harmless and will not cause any problem and no abnormality can be found out on routine eye examination.

Hence no need to be worried about it as this will disappear slowly.

If the problem is increasing or there are presence of sudden onset of floaters and flashes of light all over the visual field then you need to consult your eye doctor, otherwise no need to be worried.

Hope the information is helpful to you.
