Brief Answer:
Mostly self limiting.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Diarrhea is a common side effect with all NSAIDs and is more prominent with Piroxicam.
The diarrhea is mostly caused due to gastric Irritation caused by Piroxicam. In my opinion the diarrhea is self limiting and usually doesn't require any treatment for it. However taking a proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole will Piroxicam will help in reducing the diarrhea.
Pantoprazole is the only option available.
However if the diarrhea doesn't respond you may change the your Medicine for arthritis. I would recommend use of Tramadol or Oxycodone for the purpose.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
