Brief Answer:
Could be antibiotic associated diarrhea

Detailed Answer:
Hi....I appreciate your knowledge that iron supplements could cause brownish black colored stool.

The answer to your query is yes, this could be antibiotic associated diarrhea.

Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.

Antibiotics sometimes can cause antibiotic associated diarrhea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS along with probiotics which are specific for antibiotic associated diarrhea. You are already using Nutrolin as probiotic, but it doesn't contain saccharomyces boulardii.... I suggest you use econorm sachets 1 XXXXXXX twice a day for 5 days....but this depends on age.

Kindly get back with age and weight of Thanish and I will be glad to guide you.

Regards - Dr. Sumanth

Brief Answer:
Then don't worry - no need to add Econorm

Detailed Answer:
Hi...then its not antibiotic associated diarrhea. Do not worry and no need to add Econorm or ORS or zinc supplements.

As I suggested in my previous interaction....Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
