Question: My 4 yr old had 1 of these bumps/blisters on his rib cage last night, woke w/3 more (2 on his arm & 1 on the heel of his hand) now 2 on his fingers Headache too

Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
I have seen the images.
The blisters look more likely a viral rash.
This is commonly seen as hand foot mouth disease.
This infection is caused by coxackie virus, airborne droplet spread.
It is contagious and preferably keep him at home.
It is usually self limiting and settles without treatment.
No antiviral medicines are available for this infection.
Just give him plenty of liquids to keep hydrated

Acetaminophen can be given for headache.
The blisters may take a week to settle.
However if they increase and your son becomes dull take him to your doctor immediately to rule out other possibilities.
