Suggest Remedy For Acid Reflux Post Ciprofloxacin Consumption

Question: HI Im 25 years old.

Last November I was diagnosed with prostatis.

I was given antibiotics ciprofloxacin 500mg 56 about 4 to 5 packs In the year and recently had ciprofloxacin 250mg I can happily say all has recovered.

However after recent treatment there was a side effect.

I had increased bowel.movements and letting.out a lot of gas. Which improved straight away after taking Andrews salts. These symptoms are over.

I did let some gas oit yesterday but it's natural right?

The only other symptoms I have had is rumbling x1 yesterday evening it was loud. Also I wouldn't say I'm burping loud but small amounts of burps are coming out.

Would you know if this is a side effect of ciprofloxacin or am I being anxious as symptoms have improved just burping?

Brief Answer:
Please start probiotic intake.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

This symptoms are typical side effects of antibiotics treatment. Please note that antibiotics destroy natural intestinal bacteria. This bacteria are necessary for proper intestines function.
When you destroy this bacteria, bloating, diarrhea, loose stools, burping, abdominal pain can appear. This is quite common.
That is why, with an antibiotic, probiotic should be taken. Please start probiotic intake. This should restore good intestinal bacteria and set you free from this symptoms.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

HI doctor

I started probiotics last week Sunday but I am still getting burping symptoms I have also tried yoghurt and drinks.

Is there anything else I can try?

It isn't anything serious is it? How long am j looking to get better and recover?
My intestines or stomach hasn't been damaged in any way has it?

I just want to be normal again.
This has been going on for about 3 to 4 weeks now with symptoms such as bowel movements and letting out gas has improved. Now I have let out some gas the right side is literally vibrating? What is that
Could it be anxiety?Hello doc any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
This is nothing serious.

Detailed Answer:
Than the nest step if Rifaximine treatment. This special antibiotic can eliminate bad bacteria left in small intestine due to Ciprofloxacine intake. You should discuss such treatment with your doctor.
You have not damaged anything. And this is nothing serious.
Please also try to avoid sweets, soft drinks and fatty foods. You may add some fiber to your diet as well.
