Brief Answer:
soaks, hydrocortisone, calamine lotion,

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The prednisone would help to dampen the immune response and the anti bacteria cream or soap would help prevent or treat any associated infection.

Unfortunately it can sometimes take 1 to 3 weeks for a poison ivy rash to clear up.

Water can help ease discomfort and soaking in a bath with products such as aveeno (has oatmeal) , may help.
A cool compress to the area , 2 to 3 times a day for 15 to 20 mins would also help

Apply calamine lotion and a topical steroid cream such as hydrocortisone to relieve your symptoms.

An oral antihistamine such as benadryl, allegra , claritine or zyrtec can be added to the prednisone

Summary: (1)water and cool soaks to affected area
(2)continue oral steroid for prescribed time and anti bacteria
(3)add an oral antihistamine
(4)topical hydrocortisone and calamine lotion

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
