Question: My wife, xxxxxxxx is suffering from severe heart burning sensation...this makes her keep away from having food for the fear of its symptoms. Is this GRED? She has got her allergy test done 2 months ago (including drugs). Can you please advice on the diet and other home remedies. She was one examined on endoscopy revealing a mild ulcer. Also has the issues of Asthama and Migrane. Have attached the allergy test result. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Hi not much to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern.
Possibly she has reflux disease.
Worthwhile trying following things and see how she feels,
Avoid sleeping two hours after meals.
Go for a regular walk.
Drink plenty of water.
Exercise regularly.
Avoid coffee aerated drinks and spicy food.
Avoid stress.
Ensure adequate 7 to 8hours of sleep.
Unnecessary dietary restrictions are not needed as allergy testing may not correlate with her symptoms and avoiding allergens mentioned may be difficult too.
Can take antacid like pantocid DSR once in morning before breakfast after consulting your physician.
If symptoms still persistent than some times adding low dose drug like an ssri may help in long run which needs to be taken only after personal consultation with your local physician.
Hope this answers your questions.
Happy to help.
Wish her a speedy recovery.
