Suggest Remedies For Severe Asthma

Question: Thanks for your email. My son is still suffering. He has severe asthma especially now that hot weather is here with high pollen and pollution. We live in Florida so we are in for lots of heat. My son also has sleep apnea and wears the facial contraption to sleep.
I have a good friend from another state who is a retired rn. She wondered if a heart monitor might be of value. What do you think.
I did not notice you were in Albania. Here in Florida we have many doctors from all over the world. Many are quite wonderful. We don't have Obamacare in our state due to extreme right wing state government, so you get used to one doctor and suddenly you have to find another doctor. Very frustrating.
Sorry to rant about our medical situation, but it is very confusing. Not the best.
Anyway, I am going to call the cardiologist's office to see if I can talk to the doctor's assistant who saw us there and see if my son can get a proper bp medication. What he has now is a combination of water pill and bp med.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking me again!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

It's a common findings during spring to have asthma exacerbation due to pollen and other allergens. He should take an extra antihistaminic like zyrtec and cortisonic aerosols to help him relieve his symptoms.

A heart monitor will be of help in excluding arrhythmia which is a common findings in these patients.

Unfortunately I work in Europe and you don't have Obama care at your state.

Hopethis will be of help!
Wish you and your family health!

Just called the cardiologist office now and receptionist sent a note to nurse practioner to see about my son getting bp prescription. Day before yesterday he had 160/100.

Hopefully they will call him in a prescription
