Suggest Remedies For Rashes On The Arms And The Abdomen

default
Posted on Thu, 16 Nov 2017
Question: I woke up with a rash over a large portion of my stomach and arms that may be shingles. It is Saturday and my family doctor is not available. How important is it to see a doctor immediately? What can I do to ease
the itching in the meantime?

Brief Answer:
Kindly upload a few images

Detailed Answer:
Hello. thank you for writing.

I am Dr. kakkar(Dermatologist). I have noted your concern.
I request you to kindly upload a few images of the rash in "Reports Section" so that I am able to guide you better.
Shingles usually is painful rather than itchy and presents in a localised region/ dermatome on one side of the midline as grouped, fluid filled bumps/ vesicles. If you have a rash on your stomach and on both arms, then it is unlikely to be shingles.

Regards
