Suggest Remedies For Phimosis In A Child

default
Posted on Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Question: Yes. I am very worried about my son's circumcision. He was diagnosed with phimosis and was in constant pain as he was getting small cuts on the side of his penis. He has healed but I noticed that his penis is not able to extend and there are what look like small bubble like skin tissue where stitches were. Is this normal? He is 7 years old. Also there underneath his penis there is what looks like excess skin. It looks like the skin where the stitches were fused together.

Brief Answer:
There is nothing to be worried about .

Detailed Answer:
hello
Thanks for query .
Your 7 years old son has undergone circumcision few days back and has developed small bube like skin tissues at the site of sutures .

This is due to normal tissue reaction to the suture material .hey will get resolved when the suture material gets absorbed and wound heals up completely which in normal circumstances takes 3-4 weeks .

As regards extra skin on under surface of glans penis it a frenulum which is left over intact as it helps to have sense of pleasure during sex .

Give him antibiotic like Doxicycline and anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily .

Consult your family physician for doses and prescription of medicine,

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Sorry let me clarify. It's been 60 days after surgery. His skin is tight and there isnt extra skin to extend his penis because it is tight. Maybe I can send a picture so you can see what I am talking about. I am afraid that when it comes time for him to have an erection that it will be extremely painful as there is little skin left for it to extend as it would before circumcision. I am fearful that too much skin was removed.
