Posted on Mon, 1 Aug 2016
Question: I have had perianal irritationfor a few weeks now and its getting worse I was able to get to see a
gastroenterologist nurse who gave me a rectal exam My rectal exam was unremarkable without
irritation, inflamation or infection,or lesion mass--She said there was nothing concerned about on my
physical exam in the perrinal area---I also went to a urgent care doctor a couple of weeks ago id and she
also said, and sometime i was negative for constipation, blood in the stool and anal bleeding and negative for rash
I have used a hygiene cleansing lotion ans desitin --which hasn't helped either, and sometimes cause a burning irritation--My butt is sore and i feel like it is inflamed and maybe an infection in there--I can hardly
sit downwithout feeling uncomfortable--I feel like there might be something between my anus and scrotal sack---The proble started i think wheni has some diarrhea and i think i aggravated the situation by wiping
myself alot The irriation is in/near my anal area and my butt is sore by my hole---although i have no problem with bowelmovements and no difficulty urinating i have no pain when i walk or lye down---only when i sit or when it stretches----almost like i have a tear--Also pleae note i started exercising 3 times a week
with a trainer for a month---and i hadn't exercised for years---Coud i have pulled a groin muscle ?

Brief Answer:
Pin worm infestation, albendazole

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query and do understand your concern.
Based on the information, we can rule out piles and fissure in anus, and also other pathology related to rectum and colon. (This is based on the investigation that you have done)
Other possibility is pin worm infestation, which can present with similar symptoms. So I would suggest you to have word with your consultant about it.
It can be diagnosed by using tape test, but it is better to repeat this test on three consecutive days to increase the chances of finding the worm.
It is easily treatable entity, I in my clinic prescribe tab albendazole 400 mg single dose, and repeating the same dose after two to three weeks. To avoid irritation keep the area dry.
Hope this helps
Take care

Brief Answer:
Pinworm by infestation

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome

One becomes infected with pinworms by unintentionally ingesting (or inhaling) pinworm eggs, usually deposited by an infected person onto an object.

It is not serious, easily treatable condition. Treatment -- the drug as well as the course has been mentioned in the previous post. But you need valid prescription to buy the agent. So kind see local doctor for prescription. Usually it is cured within a day of medication.

Tape test can be easily done by patient himself. You can ask a local laboratory, they will help you with the test.

Hope this helps
Take care
