Brief Answer:
Can be due to allergy or Laryngoharyngeal reflux.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to allergy or Laryngoharyngeal reflux.
Do you have gastritis or feeling of acid reflux?
Do you get excess sneezing and cough while expose to dust or pollen or moulds?
Do you have sputum while coughing?
Do you smoke now or had a history of long term smoking?

For laryngo paryngeal reflux and allergy I would suggest taking proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole (Nexium) and combination of antihistamines like Levocetirizine & mast cell stabilizers like monteleukast for long term. If there is no improvement then X ray of chest , sputum AFB and spirometry test should be carried out. For this you can consult a chest physician.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
