Suggest Remedies For Painful Acne, Irregular Hair Growth And Pigmentation On Chin
Question: Hi ,
I am 26 years old female.unmarried
I have observed painful acne on my chin(not many but once in a while) and some irregular hair growth too on my chin.
And uneven skin tone,hyperpigmentation in corner (down side my eyes) only my mother also has same.
I also have painful periods,but regular and normal flow.
also my digestive system is not very great I sometimes suffer from bloating and excess gas.
Please just me some medication or cream?

I am Dr.Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Acne, specially along the jaw line in females along with coarse facial hair growth i.e hirsutism is suggesrive of an underlying hormonal imbalance.
I would suggest a few blood tests like 17- OH progesterone, S. FSH, S. Testosterone, S. DHEAS and Thyroid function tests along with a pelvic ultrasound to look for polycystic ovaries.
You may need to be treated with monthly hormonal pills (ethinyl estradiol+cyperoterone acetate/ drosperinone) depending on the results of investigations. In addition to that you may require spironolactone (Aldactone tablets) as an oral antiandrogen.
Topically you may use Clindoxyl gel on active acne, twice daily.
