Suggest Remedies For Pain In Gum
Question: My husband was eating a chicken strip from whataburger and it must have been too hard it cut his gums now he is in so much pain its not the tooth its the gum o things it has a small hole behind the last molar at the top what should we do he has been taking antibiotics

The pain in the gums can be because of the break in the continuity of the epithelium over the gums (erosion or an ulcer) secondary to trauma. Nothing to be panic, you can consult an oral physician and get it evaluated .
Mean while you can take combination of topical analgesic like Choline salicylate and topical anesthetic like Lignocaine. Apply over the cut area and leave it for two minutes and wash your mouth. Do saline gargling.The lesion should heal in 3 to 5 days. if it is not subsiding in 3 to 5 days then consult an oral physician and get it evaluated.
