Suggest Remedies For Itchiness Around The Testicles

I am feeling itching in testicles for past few days.
Please suggest some remedy.

Is itching associated with any rash? If yes kindly upload the photographs of the affected areas so that I can a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly .

Did you use or apply anything new on this area?

Do you work or stay in hot humid weather?

I normally recommend my patients to take antihistaminic like tablet Levocetrizine 5 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.

Hi Doctor,
Here are the answers to your questions:

Is itching associated with any rash? If yes kindly upload the photographs of the affected areas -> there is no rash but there is a small acne/pimple/boil which is almost healed by itself but itching is not on that. Pictures attached.

Did you use or apply anything new on this area? -> Nothing. Sometimes I have felt itching earlier also and subsides in a day or two but, it is a bit more this time.

Do you work or stay in hot humid weather? -> No, my job is from office only which is air conditioned.

Thanks for being at Health Care Magic
I have reviewed the attached photographs and you have developed lichen simplex chronicus of the scrotal skin.

It is a type of neurodermatitis characterized by intense itching along with increased pigmentation and thickening of skin.

In such cases I recommend my patients to take anti-histaminic like tablet Hydroxyzine 25 mg twice daily along with capsule Doxepin 25 mg once daily at bedtime.

Along with this I recommend them to apply potent topical steroids like Clobetasol Propionate cream or Betamethasone cream on the affected areas twice daily for 3-4 weeks regularly.

These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

May I know the reason why this has happened and what precautions I should take in future so that it doesn't happen again?

No specific cause, nothing serious

Detailed Answer:
There is no specific cause for its occurence although it is seen in atopic persons and also emotional tension favours its development in predisposed individuals.
To prevent its occurence reduce stress, take proper sleep, wear comfortable cotton undergarments and stay in cool airy environment.
It is not something to worry about as it is just a type of eczema and has no other health implications apart from skin involvement in the form of itching and irritation.
