Suggest Remedies For Genital Warts
Question: Have just noticed that I have at least one genital wart.
Had protected sex about 3 months ago but apparently that was not good enough protection
I have read all that I can find about this on the net but some things seem unclear.
1. Can the body's immune system "clear" this over time?
2. Can I spread this to other people through non sexual activity, like just hugging or touching someone with my hands, kissing on the cheek, patting someone on the head, like that?

Genital warts are caused by a sub-type of the HPV virus. any type of skin to skin contact, even non sexual contact can spread the virus. if the infection is Genital, and you wash your hands after touching that area, it is exceedingly unlikely that you would need to be worried about transmitting the virus through non sexual contact. although there is no medication that will cure HPV, your body and a healthy immune system will often fight off the virus and clear it from your system. this happens often in healthy people, though it visit unpredictable how long it will take and if it will happen for you. If the wart goes away and you don't see an outbreak for a long time, you can assume that it is gone. things like smoking that can cause stress to your immune system makes it harder for your body to fight it off.

I just want to be very clear as I am mostly worried about spreading it to other family members.
If I am very deliberate about washing my hands often, especially after any touching of the wart itself, using normal hand soap, should I be worried about transmitting it to other family members? I am referring to touching the skin of other people, as in a kiss on the cheek, or a XXXXXXX on the bare back, a hug to bare skin, etc

It is not a problem at all to repeat the question, I totally understand that you are very concerned. however, since the wart is on your genitals and is covered up, as long as you wash your hands after any genital touching (and regular soap is fine), then you do not need to worry about transmitting it to your family members through kissing, touching with your hands, hugging, or any normal type of contact that you may have with your family. it can only be transmitted if your genitals come into contact with someone else's skin, or if touched the wart and then touched someone's skin (especially moist areas) without washing carefully in between.
