Suggest Remedies For Foot Fracture And Numbness In Toes

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Jun 2016
Question: My family says I have to go to a Podiatrist , but the internet says my foot will heal just fine with the 3rd metatarsal break as long as I keep weight off of it and rest.

Does this break look like it will heal okay?

Also I have slight numbness in bottom of my toes. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
You need to apply plaster

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case.I think you need to apply plaster for this fracture.Without plaster this fracture is not going to heal.Weight bearing Plaster can be applied so you will no need any bed rest. This fracture will heal in three weeks to four weeks.
Numbness in foot is due to transient nerve compression. It is nothing to be worried about. It will improve by its own.
I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.

Brief Answer:
You can go to a orthopaedic doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You can go to any orthopaedic doctor as applying plaster is a simple job. It does not require specialisation. If you have podiatrist near by you and you can get appointment easily then you can go to podiatrist. But in my opinion treatment remains same.
Thanks
