Question: hello doctors. i have been farting every now and then,it has become too much that i feel so embarrass. I fart during the day like every 20 - 30 minutes and i fart in the night while sleeping as well, i dont know how frequent is that but i could hear the sound of my fart while in my sleep, as i'm typing this message, i've farted more than 2 times. I don't know what could have caused it but i'm not happy about it and i don't know if its a disease or what? I know it's normal to fart but please what can i do to have it reduced. cheers.

The main cause of farting is excess gas production in the intestines. The most common cause is mixing many different food types which allow for fermentation and excess gas production. I will suggest that you review your diet to see what recent changes you have made. This way, you would be able to walk back and eliminate this. Try not to consume many different types of dishes in a day. When this is done, monitor and report the changes with the farting to me.
