Question: I weighed this morning and noticed I wieghed 198 lbs wich is 18 lbs less than last thursday which was 216 lbs and I double checked it to be sure, this concerned me. I weighed tonight to check it and it was back up to 208 which is a 10 lb gain in just today after a big loss for no reason. I have been light headed and have had a head ache.what could cause this or what should I do

Brief Answer:
Measure weight using same scale. Take lot of fluids.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Such a rapid difference in weight seems quite unlikely. I need you to confirm whether both of the weights have been measured using the same scale. The calibration difference between weighing scales could be a factor. Other than that I would insist you to take sequential weight measurements every few days using the same scale and to record them in a dated manner. Unless it confirms the same pattern you need not grow apprehensive.

You need to take plenty of fluids. Take ORS (oral rehydration solution). That should resolve the lightheadedness.

Let me know if I could help further.

Thanks for writing back. I would insist you to stick to the subsequent scale you use. Also be sure to take periodic weight measurements and to record them with the date. Feel free to ask me back in case of any further queries.
