Suggest Remedies For Diarrhea And Hemorrhoids

Question: What can I do to stop diarreah? CT scan for possible diverticulitis normal. Bloodwork normal. Also rectal bleeding which I think is from hemmorroids.

I would like to have some additional information.
1.What is the duration of Diarrhoea?Whether it has started after taking outside food or after any get together outside?
2.What is the duration of bleeding per rectum?
In your previous queries, you said that you had Diverticulitis. Then,it can cause diarrhoea and bleeding per rectum.
If the duration of these symptoms is short,then it could be due to Dysentery, caused due to intake of contaminated food or water. I prescribe Antibiotic Levofloxacin 250mg twice daily for 5 days along with Pre and probiotic capsule twice daily for 5 days.
If diarrhoea is not mixed with blood, then Haemorrhoids have to be excluded.
Once the diarrhoea settles,I prefer a Colonoscopy examination where entire Colon can be visualised and Haemorrhoids can also be diagnosed.

It started in middle of night Monday night with stomache ache and cramping. There was a family get togeyher on Sunday. I did go to the Doctor on Tuesdy, and had a CT scan, bloodwork and urinalysis done. Doctor thought possible diverticulitis but CT scan came back normal as did bloodwork. Urinalysis showed trace of blood in urine. That is to be repeated in one month. I have been diagnosed with hemmorroids. I also had a colonoscopy and barium xray done a little over a year ago, and everything was fine. Dr. Did barium xray because colonoscopy couldn't be completed

As per your description, it looks like diarrhoea has developed due to contaminated food that you have taken in get together.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Levofloxacin along with Pre and probiotic capsule to my patients with similar complaints.
If haemorrhoids are confirmed, it is better to undergo surgery.

I have already been to Doctor who did CT scan and said that was normal. He did not prescribe any antibiotic. He just set me up with a GI Doctor who I don't see until next week. Will this clear up on it's own? I don't know what to do.

As the diarrhoea is most likely due to infection, you need an Antibiotic like Levofloxacin 250mg or Rifaximine 200mg which is available only by Prescription.
Please go to ER and get appropriate prescription.
Sometimes, symptoms get relieved by Pre and probiotic capsules as they replace the bacterial flora of the large intestine .
