Brief Answer:
Management of dandruff

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
In cases of patients of dandruff not responding to ketoconazole I usually recommend them to use a shampoo containing ciclopirox olamine like 8X shampoo twice weekly along with application of a lotion containing combination of clotrimazole and beclomethasone on the itchy and scaly areas of the scalp twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
Once the dandruff reduces I ask them to stop the lotion and continue with the shampoo.
Moreover in severe cases I also give them oral medication like capsule itraconazole 100 mg twice daily for 7-10 days.
This is a prescription drug and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.

Dr Asmeet
