Suggest Remedies For Chronic Constipation

Question: cant poop! havent been able to regularly or normally in awhile...tons of hemorrhoids and fissures. have to manually expell...feels like there may be a blockage and a few lumps...to go now, feels like a days workout at the gym. this last week or so a very hard, thick, paste-like discharge covered in mucus has been coming out. it has a yellow-ish tint with some blood....sometimes a tint of brown and grey. i dont dare do enemas at this point and there isnt a single otc laxative that helps...this us associated with abdominal cramoing, bloating and fatigue

Also, how many days since you had a bowel movement of normal size?

Have you been seen about the hemorrhoids and any plans for treatment of these?

Are you taking any medication?

Have you been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome?

i have tried every otc laxative incld enemas. i mean literally!!! I am not taking any medicine currently and i drink TONS of water. i had a somewhat normal movement about 3 days ago where itvwas a normal color and solid. before that it had been about a week and a hlf. now, i am on day 3 and again, nothing. i know i have to go but im thinkn there is blockage and with all the swelling frm the hemorrhoids and fissures, its impossible. About a week ago i bent forward to try and push and literally a stream of blood went spraying across my bathroom wall. every time i tried bend over or push, this stream of blood would come gushing out. if i sat on the toulet normal normal, it sounded like an endless stream of pee....but it was blood and the only way it would stop was if i clenched my butt cheeks. that went on for 3 days and when i would wipe, skin tissue was on the toilet paper and the toulet looked like there was a massacre in it. after that stopped is when i had a decent movement as mentioned above 3 days ago.

Detailed Answer:
The cause for this amount of bleeding needs to be looked into. Rectal tears and hemorrhoids can cause some bright red blood to pass, but not to the degree that you are describing.

I think you should go in to an urgent care clinic tomorrow (or your own doctor if she/he is there on Saturday) where they can have a look, and if there is that much swelling, likely give you topical and possibly oral corticosteroids.

You may need to have hemorrhoid repair to allow you to poop comfortably again.

I don't know if you have tried bulk forming fiber things such as Metamucil or Citrucel, but if you have ongoing problems, starting these in a small amount (so that you don't increase bloating and gas) and increasing gradually can help.

But I do strongly advise that you go in to be seen tomorrow. This isn't a problem that can be fixed tonight. However, if you start bleeding a lot again tonight - go to the ER.
