Brief Answer:
Take what prescribed.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. carbidopa levodopa combination and selegiline work the same and have same mechanism of action by increasing dopaminergic activity. Switching between two is not wise as former has higher penetration in blood brain barriers and has more ability to reach the brain. But both medications can be used in parkinsonism. if your doctor has prescribed carbidopa and levodopa i would suggest sticking to it. You may however discuss the possibilities of selegiline use or even its use in combination any time.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
