Brief Answer:
Supportive therapy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic. I have gone through your query. Following is my reply:

1) Since you are only 11 weeks pregnant i advice against taking any pain killers or antispasmodic medicines. They are not entirely safe for the baby.

2) If the sprain is recent, it is possible that the pain will be reduced slowly on its own.

3) I sugest you undergo physiotherapy from a professional physiotherapist. You can also continue hot water compression.

4) Use good body mechanics when sitting, standing and lifting. For example, try to keep your back straight and your shoulders back. When sitting, keep your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Don’t over-reach, and avoid twisting movements. When lifting, bend your knees and use your strong leg muscles to help balance the load.

5) Wait for a week with complete rest and supportive therapy as mentioned above. If it does not subside you can think about medicines and 12 weeks would be completed which is important for baby's growth.

Let me know if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya
