Question: Hello! I would like to know how to cure, or the best way to prevent my skin from having eczema ( dermatitis? ) . Its chronic, sometimes it goes away sometimes i have it, and its always in 2 spots, next to my nose and below my eyes, on each side of my face. I have a pomade with hydrocortisone acetate which reliefs it but when i sweat a lot for example, it might show again. Ive tried these hydrocortisone creams and even retinoic acid in the past that a doctor prescribed me, because i used to have dermatitis in my chin and it really helped, i never had it anymore there, a few years later i start having those next to my nose. Whats your advice? Thanks !

Sorry i gave you a wrong info, my doctor didnt prescribed be the retinoic acid, he prescribed me a antibiotic called azithromycin, which kills the bacteria i think, sorry about that

Brief Answer:
Upload pictures of the lesion

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Was eczema diagnosed in the areas you mentioned ?
Do you have itching in the affected areas ?
Do you have any lesions like fluid filled vesicles or pustules?
Did you ever use retinoic acid for the condition ?

Please upload the images of the affected areas. After having a look on those I shall present my opinion.

Sorry i dont have pictures right now, my face is ok at the moment. The eczema was diagnosed in my chin because at the time i only had there. I dont have itching, but my skin texture changes, gets dry and harsh in those areas. I dont have lesions and never used retinoic acid (i said it wrong, it was the antibiotic i said that i used)

Brief Answer:
Clobetasol and gentamicin cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the information.

Based on your description it can be considered to be eczema needing a combination topical medication of corticosteroid and an antibiotic.

You can apply Clobetasol and Gentamicin combination cream to the affected areas. Applying once in the night before bed would suffice.

Avoid applying any sort of cosmetic creams for few days till the inflammation fade.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

Regards,
