Question: Hi doctor, I'm 33 years old. I need to prepone my periods by couple of days as We have planned spiritual tour with family from 7th of october. My LMP was on 3rd of sept and it starts 3-5 days late every time. Can you please suggest some tips and safe medication to prepone my periods this month by 3-5 days i.e., it needs to start by 29th or 30th of october. Thank you in advance.

Brief Answer:
postponement of your cycle

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

In my opinion you should proceed for a postponement of your cycle rather than preponement of the cycle.

In that respect is a medication called primolut-N (Norethisterone) which is a prescription drug can be used for postponement of the cycle.

You can start this drug one week before your expected period date and continue till the date when your ritual work is finished.

And so when you stop taking the drug your period will resume within a week.

I am advising this because in preponement of the cycle, there are chances that you may not get your period at the expected date.

Only if you want to prepone the period, then you can take primolut -n for 5 days (after consulting your treating doctor) and then you will get your period within a week after stopping it.

Hope I have answered your query If you have further questions I will be happy to assist you.

Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa

Brief Answer:
Start primolut-n 5 mg twice a day on 26th September

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I'm so sorry for my delayed response.

If you desire to prepone your period then you should start primolut-n 5 mg twice a day on 26th September for 3 days.

When you stop the drug you will induce a withdrawal bleeding in 2-3 days.

Then in that way you will be free from your period bleeding before your visit.

Hope this information is useful to you.

Please feel free to discuss and add more.

Good luck.
