Ans-Do use Topical Voltaren Gel-would help you to resolve the painful Varicose Veins.
If abrasions/ or cracks are there, stop Cortisone cream-as it may complicate it more, though it may give initial relief.
Do's-suggested
Rest / Elevation-is to be accompanied with this.
Antibiotics if need be to be taken with script from your doctor.
NSAID-Tab -like Motrin 400 mg x 2 times a day would recover the pain fast.
If no relief in 2 days time, you should Consult PCP doctor / or ER Doctor if the pain is persistent.
