Brief Answer:
Can give amoxicillin if she has inflammatory acne; also use topicals

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

Amoxicillin can be used for inflammatory acne, though it is not first choice. Therefore, if her acne is inflammatory and potentially scaring, you may give her amoxicillin 500 mg, twice daily, as a rescue for 10 days and a repeat course for 7 days, if required(in case acne come back), to tide over a period of 1 month.
However, giving only oral antibiotics for acne is not the right approach for treatment of acne. Topical preparations are an essential part in management of acne and help reduce the requirement for oral treatment, sometimes sufficing all by itself. Therefore in addition to oral antibiotic I would also suggest you to use topical benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel, twice daily for active acne.
