Question: Hello Doctor, I am 34 years Male, no smoke/alchohal, 77 Kgs, do little exercise and overall healthy. I used to have chest pain 1 year back due to anxiety, all blood and cardio reports were normal (Lipid Profile, BP, TMT, Stress Echo etc.) and got clearance from 2-3 Cardio experts. Then I was recommended to consult a psychiatrist for Hypochondria treatment (used to relate anxiety Chest pain with cardiac health). I am taking Nexito 10 MG and Bupropion 450 MG in a day and feeling normal for last 4-5 months. I just had routine preventive blood tests done, which gives total cholesterol at borderline (203) and High Triglicerides, which is making me bit concerned again. I have few questions: 1. Please see my all reports and suggest me further line of action (diet plan, specific workout etc.) 2. Should I be worried lot. 3.Should I get the tests again (it may be erroneous?) Please help and suggest. Thanks XXXX

Hello Dr. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX of relief :-) Thanks for answering my question, I really appreciate that you analyzed my reports and advised me. I was bit concerned, I am feeling quite relaxed now. Further, please help me understand couple of things from your response: 1. I need to go for Ultrasound of whole abdomen, anything specific I should ask USG consultant to diagnose (any doubts). 2. For how long I have to take combination tablet of Fenofibrate 140 mg and Atorvastatin 10 mg (is it only a single dose and that's all or once every night), if more than once then what is the course duration. 3. Please tell me the brand name of above medicine which is easily available in the market. 4. Rest of suggestions I have already started few days back, (doing push-ups stretching etc. with breathing exercises for 1 hour daily, limited junk/oily food and salt, don't take red meat but seldom chicken and fish often). I also take Liv-52 2 tabs/day and cod-liver capsules at night, is it ok to continue these and if yes, can I take along with the medicines you advised above. I deeply thank you again Doctor. Waiting for your response. XXXX

Brief Answer: Please find detail answer below. Detailed Answer: Hello XXXX Thanks for writing back Generally lipid profile shoots up after stoppage of drugs and it requires life long treatment. You can take one trial to stop drugs after control of lipid profile but you should monitor lipid profile regularly. You should follow diet restrictions and life style modification during this period. If it shoots up again after stoppage of drugs and in spite of all restrictions then you should again start taking drugs. Get well soon. Hope I have answered your question. Further queries are most welcome. Take Care Dr.Indu XXXXXXX
