VESIcare (solifenacin) is prescribed for an overactive bladder. It is taken once per day at recommended dosage. It comes as 5 mg and 10 mg tablets. In the beginning a patient is started on 5 mg one tablet each day. Follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage.
Please take this medicine with water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Swallow it whole. VESIcare can be taken with or without food.
Taking it in the morning or evening does not make any difference to the efficacy of the medication. This medication must however be taken at the same time and this must continued regularly every day. While some people find it to be better when taken in the morning, there are people who prefer taking it in the evening.
