Brief Answer:
losartan 50 mg is the strength normally used in hypertension

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Norvasc is dosed most commonly at 5 mg or 10 mg. Rarely persons use the low dose of 2.5 mg.

Since you are normally at 5mg, you should be able to use 50mg strength of losartan.
This is the dose normally used in persons with high blood pressure.

You should make sure that there is no history of an allergic reaction. If you are dehydrated or using diurectic medication then you should use 25 mg.

It would be best not to use the highest dose of 100mg since you are not sure how you would respond to it and the effect on your blood pressure.

You should discuss this medication change with your doctor to make sure that there are no medical reasons that you cannot use the medication.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
