Brief Answer:
Follow the Advises..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome back to HCM,

First of all, please note that the recommended dosage for Meftal is 5mg per kg per dose, and as per your description, for 21kg kid of 6 yrs it's around 105mg per dose, so you've given him the right dose only..

If your syrup has 100 mg in 5 ml then the dose would be 5 ml each time three times daily.. You can repeat the Syp MEFTAL P 100 mg 5 ml up to three times a day i.e. 8th hrly after some food..

However, you should note that the safest choice for controlling fever is PARACETAMOL and not Mefenamic acid (it's always kept reserve only if paracetamol fails to control fever)..

So you should give him Syp Paracetamol (eg Syp Crocin DS 5ml three times a day after food..)

Tepid sponging can be tried additionally to control fever..

If fever doesn't settle despite this then it is better to get him examined by your pediatrician.
Give him plenty of liquids (room temperature or warm) to keep him hydrated.

Wish him a fast recovery

Take Care
Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
Please take him to the pediatrician/ pediatrics hospital at the earliest

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome back,

I've gone through your query and understand your concern for your son..

High grade fever since Saturday, followed by muscle/joint pains are characteristic of tropical viral illness like Dengue, Chikungunya etc., however "not able to stand" is something which has to be examined by a Pediatrician in person to diagnose and a few more relevant investigations accordingly(CBC, Viral antigen antibody, Urine R.M etc.)..

Please ensure to keep him well hydrated (drink plenty of water, fresh fruit juice etc.)

Please don't delay anymore get him promptly checked out by the pediatrician/ pediatrics hospital itself..

Let me know how he stays in the due course..

Take Care
Kind Regards
