Well, to keep teeth and gums healthy you should do the following.

1. Brush your teeth twice a day.
2. Use dental floss regularly to clean the interdental spaces.
3. Use antiseptic mouthwash to gargle daily.
4. Eat more of hard foods as they have cleaning action on teeth.
5 Avoid any harmful habits like chewing tobacco, smoking etc.
6.Drink plenty of water daily.

7.Massage your gums with gentle motion of your fingers to improve blood supply and cellular growth.

8.Visit your Dentist every 6 months for cleaning of teeth and if any other treatment is needed like early cavity filling that can save teeth from deep decay and tooth loss..

9.Keep the intake of frizzy drinks limited as they have harmful effects on teeth..

As far as the toothpaste is concerned you can opt for any appropriate toothpaste that contains fluoride.

Proper brushing technique is more important for maintaining healthy teeth and gums rather than toothpaste.
