Question: I have restless leg syndrome. It is now 5am & I have not slept all night due to my uncontrollable rls. I have taken .5mg of Requip to no avail. I've tried everything I know to do. Heat, cold packs, warm tub bath, massage & I still can't keep my legs still. So frustrated. Can you help me.

Brief Answer:
You can try diazepam, or klonopin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Seems you have tried all possible home remedies to control your symptoms with no avail.

Try to repeat warm bath with legs massage.

If you have in possession other prescribed drugs such benzodiazepines ( klonopin, diazepam ) you can take one tablet to ease your symptoms and induce sleep.

Since Requip does not work at best for you, you should discuss with your treating Doctor about changing treatment (rotigotine eg.).

If you haven't, you should be tested about iron blood levels and kidneys function.

Both these conditions predispose RLS.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
