Brief Answer:
Yes cortisone can help, but clobetasol would work best in such a case

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Diflucan should help, but if it is not doing the job then you can surely use cortisone cream over the region for a while. But please do get back to your doctor as soon as you can for her permission and advise accordingly.

But if you have access to a medical store then please do try and get a cream consisting of clobetasol (is a corticosteroid cream) which is mainly used for itching, redness, etc; and would serve to help you better than the cortisone.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
