Question: Kindly suggest the best nutrition related diet for my wife who is pregnant presently. She is currently nearing the completion of 5 months. Also she is taking the below medicines daily as per the prescription by Gynecologist.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.

She should take high protein diet and plenty of fluids.

The diet can be as follows:
7AM- I glass milk with 2 biscuits/ toasts
9AM- sprouts/ poha/ Dalia/ 2 Chapati/ Idli/ Uttapam
11AM- One seasonal fruit with 6-7 nuts
1-1:30PM-2 Chapati / 1 plate rice with vegetable, 1 cup pulses, 1 cup curd
3:00PM- 1 fruit or 2 ladoo made of nuts and flour
5:30 PM- 1 cup tea with mathri/ biscuits/ any dry snack
8: 00PM- Dinner similar to lunch with different vegetables and lentils
10PM- 1 glass milk

The diet plan can be changed Daily and different items should be included.
Milk and milk products should be taken in good amount.
