24 hours extended release medications and more long acting

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

I am not sure how often ou take oxycodone, but it can be taken in short release (every 4-6 hours) and also there is the extended release which can be taken every 12 hours.

Other medications that have longer time of action are: Buprenorphine transdermal patch (Butrans) used once in seven days, Fentanyl transdermal patch (Duragesic) used once in 3 days, Tramadol ER 24 hour (Ultram ER) used once in 24 hours; Hydrocodone ER 24 hour (Hysingla ER); Hydromorphone ER 24 hour (Exalgo), ect.

You will need a prescription in order to take those and also you will need a close follow up while you switch to the other one and a slow tapering. So I would suggest that you speak with your doctor before doing any changes.

Hope this is helpful.
