Suggest Methadone Dosage For Pain Relief
Question: Hello. I am prescribed to take up to 6 Hydrocodone 10/325's a day. I lost my bottle on an out of town trip and someone gave me some 10mg Methadone. What is the equal to if I usually take 20mg of the Norcos at once? Ive tried looking around but the results varied everywhere and I want to be safe but still have my pain relief and yes the relief from the anxiety I have without my Norco. Thank you.

Both are opioids analgesics and different potencies with not wise to switch between without a consult of a pain management specialist. But any how methadone should be started at 2.5 mg and slowly increased to 10mg per day. But better would be to contact your doctor and get a refill prescription for the misplaced previous one.I ams ure you will get that.It would be safer and wiser instead of trying some random more potent thing given by some random person who isnt a professionalist.

I did try to get a refill but my pain management doctor will not give one wothout a police report and since I leftthem out of town there is no police report to file:/ lobg story short I need ssomething for my pain and see my oain dr on Wednesday so it us only for today and maybe tomorrow.

Now that there is a no other way situation i would suggest to take it in lowest possible doses for just today and tomorrow and that would be 2.5 mg.
Rest you know and should be aware this is not a good way to tackle the pain.But considering the circumstances and no alternatives, Minimum possible dosages should be opted for and an urgent consult to a pain management specialist is advised.
