Since Last 20 Day. Last Couple Of Days I Am Observing Mucus In My Stool. Accumulation Of Mucus Has Increased Pain In Fissure Tear Am I Suffering Form Chronic Anal Fissure ?
Question: I am suffering form chronic anal fissure since last 20 day. Last couple of days I am observing mucus in my stool. Accumulation of mucus has increased pain in fissure tear.
I am using Anobliss ointment after bowel movement and having fiber rich food. My stomach is now okay. But today, by mistake I took ELDOPER tablet (1 No). I think it will worse my condition. Advise me to avoid adverse effect of same.
Also advise me some antibiotics to avoid infection in my fissure tear. Can I take O2 tablet (Ofloxacin 200 mg + Ornidazole 500 mg) or CIPLOX-OZ (Ciprofloxacin 500 mg +Ornidazole 500 mg) or else.
Due to my work profile, I stay at construction site away from town/medical facility.

1. Are the stools hard? - No, Since (10 days) I am having high fiber food like Carrot, radish, apple and Papaya every day. However I have to eat bit spicy meals in my hostel canteen as I have no other option.
2. Any bleeding? - It was bit bleeding 10-12 days back. but, now no bleeding, rarely see red spot in stool. However, the stool passage is contracted. Mucus getting accumulated near fissure wound. I fear, it will cause infection.
3. Why did you take Eldoper? Were there any loose motions? - Actually, i misunderstood it with O2. I thought, I am taking O2, but after swallowing I realized its entire different tablet "Eldoper". Presently I am not having loose motion. I defecate twice a day as regular (Morning & Evening).
4. How much is the pain? - Pain is not much, I can sit comfortably. It pains during bowel movement and when mucus accumulate in anus. Mucus causes pressure on fissure tear then it pains. If I remove accumulated mucus then pain disappear.
5. Any other medications that you have tried.? - 5 days back I tried Mafatal spas (1 tablet).
6. Did this appear for the first time or occurred in past too? - Yes, it appeared before 3-4 months back but not in this intensity. It got healed automatically in 2-3 days.
7. Can you arrange for a tub wherein you can sit in warm water? - That is difficult but I can try. Also advise if i am not able to arrange tub ??
Apart from this I have hemorrhoids also, When take extremely spicy food. However, presently my hemorrhoids are normal.

Continue with high fibers as you are taking.
Avoid spicy foods altogether if you think they are causing you any symptoms.
Fissure in ano as you have rightly mentioned heals within few days as happened last time.
This time it might have prolonged due to some cause, find out and correct.
Clean the mucus as many times as possible.
Continue with O2 twice daily.
Arrange for Probiotics.
Take curds and bananas.
Sitz Bath: as it is called is sitting in a tub with warm water before and after passing stool helps a lot. There is no alternative.
Laxatives to be taken if there are hard stools.
And once you get in touch with a General Surgeon get yourself examined well, per-rectal and ano-proctoscopy examination to know the exact diagnosis.
