Question: I have just received my lab reports. Total Cholesterol : 224, LDL : 162 and HDL:37. Should I worry?
weight : 70 kgs
Height : 5.6''
Fasting Sugar : 107
No Family history of heart problems
Father and Mother has sugar and blood pressure

You should have healthy lifestyle at present for 3 months. You should avoid fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity at least 30 min a day and 5 days a week. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any.
There is nothing to worry about it at present. Its not harmful immediately, but if remain deranged for long time over years then it increases the risk. So, you should change your lifestyle and see for the response. You should repeat lipid profile after 2-3 months and if response is seen then you should continue with lifestyle change only. However, if it remains deranged then should be started on medicine Rosuvastatin 5 mg bedtime for lipid control.
