Brief Answer: Give a fair trial to TTC first. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX Your periods are not irregular. 4-5 days earlier or late are not an irregularity. It is only 3 months that you are trying to conceive. I t is written in the books that even if you do not take any precaution, 1 year is the normal time for a couple to conceive. But in your case, since you are 30, so you may wait for 6 months that is 3 months more for a self trial before going in for any investigations. So, your husband's semen analysis can wait as well for 3 more months. Yes, you should take a trial in your ovulation days which will be 12 - 14 th day in your cycle length and you should try during these and following 7 days. Also, take a healthy diet and don't stress out yourself whether you will get the result this month or not. Please try to avoid smoking and alcohol both of you, if you take. Also start taking folic acid tablet in the pre conception period. Thanks and good luck.

Brief Answer: You can try ovulation strips. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX Thanks for writing again. For a self trial and without knowing about ovulation study or exact date of ovulation this is the ideal estimated days. If it does not seem practical to you then you can get ovulation strips available in the market, like i- sure and test for ovulation day and take care of those days and following 3 days also.Egg once released is viable for 24 hours and sperms can remain for 72 hours. So, unless we follow all the things sonographically, this can be done. Thanks.

Brief Answer: Semen amount does not matter Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX I suppose you are talking about the amount of semen or ejaculate and not the sperm count. It really does not matter. The average amount of ejaculate is just 2.5 ml roughly and it contains millions of sperms. You know, only 1 sperm is required to fertilise an egg out of millions and the ejaculate is just the transport medium for sperms. It takes only 5mts. for the sperm to reach an egg and then so many process of fertilisation in tube and then implantation and so on depending on various factors.Even the precum can cause pregnancy. So, don't be so anxious and think positive. Things will work out well by God's grace. Thanks and do well.
